Kelowna Falcons News Release
The Falcons opened the scoring in the 3rd inning on an RBI single from Hunter Villanueva that scored Grant Meylan.
Kelowna made it 2-0 in the 5th as Matt Hearn picked up a 2-out single that cashed in Kyle Plantier who had singled.
Michael Koval went 5 shutout innings for the Falcons, allowing just 2 hits and striking out 3.
Kelowna opened up a 3-0 lead in the Top of the 7th when Ben Gamba hit a Sac Fly to score Plantier.
The Falcons bullpen would see Jared Morton work a scoreless 6th, before the Bells made it 3-1 with a base hit in the 7th inning off Matthew Kirk.
Kirk would work a scoreless 8th as well, as the Bells threatened but could not score with runners left on the corners with 2 outs on an inning-ending Fielder's Choice.
Bellingham loaded the bases in the 9th inning off of Kendall Motes, as Alex Webb had to come on with 2 outs. Webb would throw 3 fastballs 90 MPH+ and catch Chase Scott looking to end the ballgame.
