The Kelowna Falcons got great pitching and timely hitting to tie up their best of three series with the Bellingham Bells thanks to a 6-0 win on Wednesday night in Kelowna.

Game 3, which will go on Thursday will see gates open at 5:00 pm, get to the park early to grab your seats and avoid the lineup. The Falcons saw 1109 attend Wednesday nights ballgame.

The Falcons scored in the 1st inning on a double steal after Grant Meylan lead off with a double and moved to 3rd on Matt Hearn's Sacrifice bunt. With Hunter Villanueva on the move following a walk, he would be out at 2nd, but Meylan came home to open the scoring.

Kelowna made it 4-0 in the 4th off a great squeeze bunt from Kyle Plantier for an RBI, followed by a big 2-out, 2-RBI triple from Hearn that opened up the lead.

That was all Michael Koval needed, as he scattered 6 hits through 6 innings to pick up the win. Curtis Taylor and Spencer Applebach finished the shutout.

Kelowna added runs in the 6th on an RBI double from Vinny Esposito, and another on an RBI single from Josh Egan in the 7th.

The energetic crowd was treated to another great game of baseball, and the Falcons are excited to see the fans back on Thursday night. Tickets on sale at the gate, 5 pm tomorrow. If you can't make the game, listen at www.kelownafalcons.com/listen-live.
