"¢ Elkhart EXPRESS is a professional basketball team based in Elkhart, Ind. It is part of the second year International Basketball League.
"¢ Pro Basketball Elkhart LLC, 127 S. Main St., Elkhart, IN 46516, owns Elkhart EXPRESS. Daimon Beathea is president and head coach. Brian Jamison is director of marketing.
"¢ Assistant coaches for the team are Garvin Roberson- Beathea's father; Ramsey Nichols- the Benton Harbor High School head coach; and Will Coatie- former New Castle captain. Mike Johnson is the strength and conditioning coach.

"¢ Elkhart EXPRESS was formed in August 2005. Its first season will be in 2006. Beathea is in the process of signing players.
"¢ Elkhart EXPRESS will play a 22-game schedule between March 31, 2006, and June 30, 2006. Of those 22 games, 12 will be played at North Side Gym in Elkhart.
"¢ Elkhart will be the site of the second annual All-Star Game and Championship Tournament July 13 to 16, 2006. All 28 IBL teams will be invited to the tournament and be allowed to enter one player in both the Three-Point Contest and the Slam Dunk Contest. About Daimon Beathea
"¢ Daimon Beathea was born and raised in Elkhart. He was a standout basketball player at Elkhart Memorial High School.
"¢ He played basketball from 1992 to 1996 at Michigan State University, where he was named Defensive Player of the Year in 1996. He graduated with a degree in communications.
"¢ From 1997 to 2002, Beathea played professional basketball overseas and in the U.S.
"¢ He was head basketball coach at Ancilla College from 2002 to 2003 and served as assistant coach at University of Dayton and University of Wisconsin Green Bay.
"¢ Beathea has always been active in the community. While in high school, he started a reading program for elementary school children and organized his first basketball camp.
