Jersey Express News Release

Newark, NJ. On Saturday, September 10th, the Newark Express organization will do it again. "The invitation has gone out to the areas finest talent and this time we've beefed up the competition," stated co-owner Marsha Blount. "We are determined to put only the best on the floor this November."

With the additions of former NBA legend Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins (Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Nets) and Ron Moore (Detroit Pistons) to the camp staff, the Newark Express organization will have its eye on the ball with over 20 years of professional league experience evaluating the potential hopefuls.

The Facilitators will sort through the talent pool with a series of basketball drills and exercises led by Darryl "D-TRAIN" Smith (facilitator of the last tryout), then counseled and drilled on specific areas of strengths and weaknesses, then released onto the courts for guts and glory intra-squad scrimmages.

Each participant will compete to fill the remaining slots in Training Camp that begins mid-October. Tryouts will be held on Saturday, September 10th at the Parsippany PAL located at 33 Baldwin Road, Parsippany, New Jersey.

Pre-registration is suggested to ensure entry. Register online at www.newarkexpress.com or contact 973 586 0006 or email newarkexpress@msn.com or visit www.abalive.com.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
