Express take on new look

September 27, 2005 - Intense Football League (Intense)
San Angelo Stampede Express News Release

San Angelo's indoor football team will have an extreme makeover for the 2006 season. The team will have a different look in the huddle, with a full off-season to recruit players. San Angelo will also have a different look on the sidelines with several new coordinators soon to join Head Coach Chris Simpson's staff. The team will also be looking at a different spot in the standings thanks to a new attitude, as shown by Co-Owner Darlene Jones' stated goal for the 2006 season to "WIN FOOTBALL GAMES." The team will even be operating out of new offices at the Convention Center, thanks to last week's agreement between the team and the City of San Angelo. On top of it all, a new look, and new name... introducing the San Angelo Stampede Express.

"The name the Stampede Express name shows both a tie to the past and the new direction we hope to take this team in the future," says Co-Owner Darlene Jones. Fans can expect quite a change at the San Angelo Coliseum next season, complete with different logos and a new color scheme which will incorporate more bright yellow with the traditional burgundy, black, and white. Not only will the team and the field look different, but fans will be able to experience the game in brand new theater style box seating, currently being installed in the Coliseum. All this will combine to bring the citizens of San Angelo, an exciting, high scoring, family friendly way to beat the heat next spring and summer.

The Stampede Express will begin their 3rd season in the spring of 2006, with 7 action packed games at the San Angelo Coliseum. Season tickets are currently available by calling 947-DOWN (3696). Box seats are available for $100 each until Halloween. Stampede Express Football... Get in the Game!
