December 21, 2013 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Mississauga Power News Release
(Mississauga, ON ) The Mississauga Power have fallen to 7-12 for the season after a tough 108-101 loss in Windsor to the Express. Nick Okorie led the Power with 23 points. Morgan Lewis had 20 points and 7 rebounds while Dwight McCombs contributed 16 points and 13 rebounds. Quinnel Brown had 24 points and 7 rebounds for Windsor. Stefan Bonneau and Papa Oppong had 23 points apiece.
The Express got off to an early lead, containing the Power's offense while playing strong offense of their own. The Express built up a 8 point lead after one quarter, which only continued to grow throughout the game.
The Express were able to keep the Power at bay throughout the game. It was not until the fourth quarter the Power made a strong comeback attempt. DeAndre Thomas turned the ball over late in the fourth, leading to a three point conversion by Alex Johnson. Morgan Lewis made a corner three in the next possession to get the Power within four points with 20 seconds remaining in the game. It was too little too late however, as the Express hung on to defeat the Power 108-101.
The Power look to snap a three game losing streak when they return home to face the London Lightning on December 27th and the Ottawa SkyHawks on December 28th.
