Round Rock Express News Release

ROUND ROCK, Texas - As the 2016 season begins to wind down, the Round Rock Express return home on Saturday, August 20 to open a quick four-game homestand against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Milwaukee Brewers affiliate).

Saturday's series opener is set for 6:05 p.m. and will feature the return of 80s Night, complete with a postgame concert by The Spazmatics as part of the St. David's Summer Concert Series presented by Dell. Fans are encouraged to come dressed in their best 80s garb before being invited on to the field to enjoy the postgame concert.

We'll celebrate the birthday of our very own Spike on Sunday! Prior to the 6:05 p.m. game against Colorado Springs, Spike and several of his favorite mascot friends will take the field for a home run derby.

In lieu of gifts, Spike asks that fans bring superhero or princess-themed birthday supplies to benefit Happy Birthdays, an organization that creates birthday boxes to give to homeless and foster care children who otherwise wouldn't get to celebrate their special day. Fans who donate birthday supplies can receive up to four general admission tickets to watch the Express take on the Memphis Redbirds on Monday, September 5. Tickets can be picked up at the Chasco Community Partnership kiosk.

Join us on Monday as we support Minor League Baseball's CommUNITY Night. Express staff, players, fans and the entire MiLB community will join together in an effort to promote peace and a positive environment during times of tension around the country.
