Austin Turfcats News Release
Austin, TX - The Austin Turfcats received praise today from third largest newspaper in Texas for the team's creative marketing strategy.
The "San Antonio Express News" wrote an article entitled "Turfcats win first battle just by getting noticed." The nearly quarter of a million daily subscribers read about the team's success with marketing ideas such as the recent Valentine's Day Promotion, If You Love Him, Give Him Football.
"In the public-relations game of âMade Ya Look,' Oswalt has won this round. I've looked. I'm curious," wrote Gaylon Krizak in the article. "And within 10 minutes, I'm ... dare I say, sold?"
Turfcats Vice-President/General Manager Ronald Oswalt said the article is the accumulation of a lot of hard work.
"It's a testimonial to everyone's hard work and belief in what we are doing," Oswalt said. "We really want people to know that they are invited to the fastest game on the turf. It has been a fun challenge to get the word out, and we hope it pays off when we take the field on April 17."
