OTTAWA- Regular season action continues as Ottawa's Sky Hawks host the Windsor Express. NBA champion, Jaren Jackson coaches his second game this season.
Last match up against these two teams was Ottawa's home opener on November 2nd, where they lost 105 to 113. As the first quarter ends, the Windsor Express lead at 22 points with the Sky Hawks trailing at 16. Windsor has kept a steady lead since shortly after tip off and going into the second quarter.
As the second quarter progresses the Sky Hawks try to close the four to six point lead the Express have kept since tip off. The Sky Hawks spent much of the second quarter trailing Windsor by 6. Although the defense was solid the Hawks just couldn't close that gap when they were in their opponent's half.
With two minutes to spare in the second quarter, the hawks trailed by ten and the gap only seemed to increase as the second quarter neared to an end. Ottawa's Ryan Anderson (44) leads the first half with four field goals and one 3 pointer.
The Express have definitely capitalized on the Hawks 13 personal fouls using the opportunities to gain the extra point at each turn. Respectively the Express have nine personal fouls against them making for a combined total of 22 personal fouls going into the second half.
All in all The Express have had slightly stronger field goal percentage at % 43 as opposed to the Hawk's % 39 in the first half resulting in that consistent lead that lead the Express to victory.
Fourth quarter got to a heated start as the Sky Hawks closed the gap more bringing them to only trail by six.
With just over four minutes left in the fourth, the hawks trail only by 3. As the clock ticked down the Hawks fight for each point and are aggressively defending their half.
Two and a half minutes left and the hawks have tied the game and are looking to gain that lead that's going to guarantee the win in the last minute of the game.
Both teams have certainly given the fans an exciting showdown in the last quarter as Ottawa not only caught up but also had a one-point lead during the quarter. The Hawks fought the remainder of the game against the Express trailing by one but ultimately couldn't snatch the victory as the Express finished the game with a win at 105 to 102.
