Jersey Express News Release
Jersey City, N.J. (Thursday, September 22, 2011) - Jersey Express add two (2) key players to the growing roster for the upcoming 2011/12 ABA season. Darnell Braswell will team-up with fellow alumni Sedale Walton, to create a potent back-court. These former DeSales University guards bring an exciting fire-power to the Express.
Darnell Braswell was a 2 times NABC and Freedom Conference 1st team, and Mid-Atlantic player of the year in 2010. He is the DSU scoring leader with 1,745 points, while averaging 20pts, 8rbds & 3asts. Sedale Walton, class of 2007, has pro experience having played in several semi-pro leagues during the past 3 seasons. Walton is considered 'a hand-full' on the basketball court, with limitless scoring ability.
Darnell Braswell 'Signing this contract to play for the Jersey City Express gives me an opportunity to continue my basketball career. Not only will I be playing for Terry DeHere, a former NBA player who can teach me a lot about the game, I will be playing alongside my good friend Zahir Carrington. I believe this can be a stepping stone to achieving my dream of playing professionally overseas.

Sedale Walton 'This opportunity to play in the ABA means a lot to me, due to what I had to overcome the past two years with some health issues. That was a rough time for me, but I kept faith in my abilities and knew that God had given me this talent for a reason. Just knowing I'm able to compete and show others my gift means the world to me. So, this is an exciting time for me. I'm anxious to get with my teammates and the coaching staff so that we can try to do something special this season with the Jersey Express.

'Darnell Braswell adds toughness to the backcourt. He's a scoring threat from everywhere on the basketball court, and he should be in contention to lead the league in assists. Sedale Walton will be a headache to guard! With his speed, quickness, and ball-handling, he'll be able to get anywhere he wants on the court. He's also going to be a scoring threat, and will battle his teammate for assist honors. Coach Terry Dehere and I have added a special duo to help run the team; stated Team Owner, Marsha Blount.
The Express will be playing its home games at the National Guard Jersey City Armory, located at 678 Montgomery Street, Jersey City, NJ. SEASON TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW!!! General Admission Season Tickets are ONLY $105 - VIP Floor Season Tickets (includes meal, and concierge service) are ONLY $525 for 15 regular season home games.
