Explosion Season Schedule Released

The Explosion Basketball team has announced its 2007 Schedule.

Featuring ten International Basketball League home games and three local exhibition games, the Explosion looks to establish itself as a great community sports, entertainment opportunity for fans and families in the north Puget Sound region. All home games at the Everett Events Center promise an exciting slate of basketball, fan interactive technologies and activities not found at any other venue or sporting event in Washington. "We're pretty excited about the production value of our games," commented Geoff Madison, Explosion Marketing and Communications Director. "Fans will enjoy great basketball, and some hugely entertaining surprises throughout the game, not to mention our incredible dance team!" The IBL plays an unbalanced schedule that makes travel more economical for the various teams. League standings are determined by win/loss percentage. With our 20 game schedule every win is huge, and every loss hurts when it comes to making the playoffs. The playoffs are important to us in the organization and we hope to be able to do something most expansion team never get to to do, and that is to be in post season in year one.

Lucky Number 13

NBA star Wilt Chamberlain wore number 13 and this lucky number is also the number of remaining courtside seats available for the 2007 season. With 300 courtside seats at only $300 apiece the phones have been ringing off the hook with fans grabbing courtside tickets along with the first row of the upperbowl. With the release of group sales tickets to the Event Center in the next few day's seats will fill up sooner then later so jump on the opportunity to make history with the Explosion this season.

New Director of Group Sales

We are so excited with the response we have been getting with season ticket sales that we have brought on a new Director of Group Sales Zack Mennie. Zack previously worked for the Aquasox's. Along with Group Sales Zack will be working on our fundraising opportunities for groups and our three game packages. Stay tuned to the website or feel free to call the office at (425) 339-BALL.

Special Enews 10% Ticket Discount

With the release of the first Enews we are providing a special 10% discount until the end of November for all tickets purchased on the website during this time. With all online orders please put in the special promotion code of "Enews" to receive the 10% off.

Village Theater Special Presentation Jan 9th 2007

The Explosion is excited to announce our new partnership with Village Theater at the Everett Performing Arts Center. All Explosion Season ticket holders and sponsors will be treated to a private showing of Bye Bye Birdie on Tuesday January 9, 2007 starting at 6:00pm with refreshments and appetizers. 500 guests will be treated to a star studded presentation of the four time Tony Award-Winner.

Just days away from enlisting in the Army, Fifties pop idol Conrad Birdie is preparing for one last appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show to bid a lucky teenage girl goodbye with an all-American kiss. Winner Kim MacAfee and the rest of Sweet Apple, Ohio have their lives turned upside-down by Conrad's arrival, while his manager, Albert, juggles publicity pressures, a marriage-minded sweetheart, and a meddling mother! Lots of laughs, loveable tunes, and a measure of merry nostalgia make this fun for the whole family Mark your calendar for this date as registration will begin in December online and calling into the office.

Sincerely,

Nathan Mumm

CEO General Manager
