Snohomish County Explosion News Release
Everett, WA - The season is over, but the post season awards continue. The first season for the Everett Explosion ended on a high note, being ranked number one in the nation by the Massey Ratings index. " I think that we have finally been recognized with the respect we earned throughout the year. We were a break or two either way of playing Elkhart for the championship" commented GM Brad Sturlaugson after seeing the rankings. The Explosion off season is already in full swing, working hard towards next year, and looking to lock down some key players to resign for next year. Justin Murray, a first year all star, received the MVP award for 2007 from the players and coaches for his great teamwork and individual play.
The Explosion is participating in many events during the next few months, with opportunities to see players and staff members. These events include the Everett Navy Base Fourth of July Softball Tournament "Freedom Fest", Skagit County Fair, Evergreen State Fair, Klahaya Days, Stanwood/Camano Fair, and Aquafest, to name a few. Come out and support these great events, and keep listening for the Explosion "Boom".
