Explosion players garner post season awards

Snohomish County Explosion News Release


The Snohomish County Explosion (finished 14-10) in their second season in Snohomish County playing in the International Basketball League (IBL) and is honored with post season awards as the Explosion looks forward to a great third season.

6'2" Point Guard Jamaal Miller played in 20 games averaging 16.1 points, 5.0 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game. 6' 4" Guard Donald Watts played in 19 games, averaging 17.6 points, 3.2 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game. Donald Watts made the IBL All Star team in all 3 seasons he has played in the IBL-recently Watts announced his retirement from the minor leagues as he will now focus on coaching.

The Snohomish County Explosion also won an award as an organization for the best game day staff/game day operations-IBL Commissioner Mikal Duilio (stated in July)- "the Explosion staff put on a great regional tournament (June 26th, 27th and 28th in Monroe Washington)-they cared about each and every game. The Explosion professionalism is what prompted me as Commissioner to contact them about a three year deal in hosting the tournament".
