Snohomish County Explosion News Release

MONROE, Wash. - June 25, 2008 - General Manager Brad Sturlaugson announced today that Head Coach Randy Redwine and Assistant Coach Mike Moss will return for the Explosion's third season.

"Randy has put together a 31-14 record over the last two years," Sturlaugson said. "He has an11-3 record at home this year. Teams know that beating the Explosion at home is a very daunting proposition. Randy can attract some of the best players from around the country who want to come and perform their best for him, and he gets the most out of that talent. We are very pleased to have Randy and Mike back in the fold next year."

Owner Nathan Mumm will return to the sidelines after joining the staff for the latter part of the season. "Randy is a winner and produces winners on the floor and in life." said Mumm "I watch many teams today change coaches each year or replace them at the drop of the hat. Randy has never lost more then two games in a row during our seasons and that task alone is a huge accomplishment." "I was also very impressed with Moss in the two game absence for Randy this year and believe that both of these coaches can bring a Championship to Snohomish County in basketball."

The Snohomish County Explosion will be hosting the Western Conference Playoffs with an opening matchup between the Central Oregon Hotshots and the Edmonton Chill (Canada) at 5pm (PST) Friday, June 27th at the Monroe Sports Arena.
