Explosion get back to winning ways in 143-126 win

Explosion look to be back on track with 143-126 win over Central Oregon Monroe, Washington - June 24th 2009 -The Snohomish County Explosion (8-10) in front of a bunch of midweek fans at the Monroe Sports Center end the suffering with a win. With over a month of a few wins and many close loses it seems the monkey could finally be off the backs of this young talented group. The Explosion had great contribution from key guys and the floor general Anthony Slater was back on top of his game with 18 assist and with him on the floor the team looked well in control of the game.

The Central Oregon Hotshots scored first and were able to build a lead to start the game. But The Explosion shot 61% from the floor and played much better defense then they had in nights before to take a lead and go into halftime up 10 points. The Hotshots were led in scoring by Travis Noble, with 40 points and 9 assists.

The Explosion top scorer Devon Greene was once again great with 39 points and 10 rebounds as he is looking to break the IBL all time scoring title and cement his name in IBL History. Center Ike Ohanson had a great night with 30 points and 17 rebounds as the big man in the middle.

The Explosion are currently 8-10 on the season and they take on the Mountaineers Friday at 7:15pm. The young talented team has two games left in the season and have never been under .500 at the end of a season and first year coach Weakley hopes to continue this streak.
