Evansville Makes First Trip to Bloomington

EVANSVILLE, IN: The Evansville BlueCats (1-2) will wrap up a 3 game road trip this weekend when they face off against the Bloomington Extreme (1-2) at the brand new U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, Illinois. Saturday night's game will be the first ever meeting between the two teams. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN Radio 94.9 in Evansville. Pre-game starts at 6:45pm and kick-off is scheduled for 7:05pm this Saturday, April 15th.

Last weekend, Evansville faced a touch match-up against the Omaha Beef (2-1) from the UIF West Division. The BlueCats turned the ball over 6 times resulting in 5 Beef touchdowns, while the Beef only turned the ball over once. BlueCats running back Dale Jennings led the way for Evansville with 202 all-purpose yards. Wide Receiver Sean Bennett caught 3 passes for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Bloomington Extreme come into this game after losing a close game at home last weekend to the Rock River Raptors (2-1). The Raptors beat the Extreme on the final play of the game on a thrilling 27-yard touchdown pass as time expired. Bloomington is a new franchise for the 2006 season and play their home games in the breathtaking U.S. Cellular Coliseum in downtown Bloomington.

Bloomington is led by quarterback Dusty Burk, who ranks second in the league with 156.3 passing yards per game. Burk leads the league with 10 passing touchdowns.
