
Evansville IceMen Sign Justin MacDonald & Donnie Harris

Evansville, IN - The Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light, have announced that Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations Al Sims has signed forward Justin MacDonald and defenseman Donnie Harris for the 2015-16 IceMen Training Camp Roster.
Justin MacDonald returns to Evansville following an amazing year in minor professional hockey. Although splitting time between Watertown, New York in the Federal Hockey League and with the IceMen in the ECHL, the twenty-four year old native of Newmarket, Ontario led all goal scorers in minor pro hockey (AHL, ECHL, SPHL, & FHL) with 51 goals in 66 games. The 6'-0", 170 lbs. forward scored 44 goals in 46 games in Watertown and then added an additional 7 goals in 20 games with the IceMen, often being paired with less skilled linemates. Overall, Justin tallied 51 goals and 63 assists for 114 points. Prior to his 2014-15 season, MacDonald played three seasons in the SPHL with Fayetteville, Augusta, Memphis, Pensacola, and Mississippi (Biloxi) and with 1000 Islands in the FHL, scoring 44 goals and 58 assists for 102 points in 153 games.
Twenty-four year old Donnie Harris is back on the IceMen blueline for his fourth season. A native of Fort Ashby, West Virginia, Harris has played in 145 games for Evansville as a solid, stay-at-home, defenseman, scoring 4 goals and 16 assists for 20 points. Last season with the IceMen, the 6'-2", 225 lbs. d-man scored 8 points (1 goal & 7 assists) in 61 games. His previous pro experience includes playing parts of three seasons for the Pensacola Ice Flyers in the SPHL and briefly for the Elmira Jackals in the ECHL. He won a junior hockey championship with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL in 2007-08 and also played junior hockey in both the NAHL and AJHL.
Evansville opens the 2015-2016 season on Saturday, October 17th at the Ford Center against the Indy Fuel at 7:15pm. 2015-16 IceMen season tickets are now on sale by calling an IceMen Account Executive at (812) 421-GOAL (4625), Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.
