
Evansville Adds Veteran Leader Jarret Lukin

Evansville, IN - Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations, Dwight Mullins, has announced that the Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light, have signed veteran forward Jarret Lukin.
The thirty-year old Lukin joins Evansville following five years in the Central Hockey League with the Allen Americans where he was a part of two championship teams. The 5'-11", 185 lbs. centerman is a native of Fort McMurray, Alberta and has played in 409 regular season games since the 2006-07 season. Jarret has played previously in the ECHL with the Florida Everblades and the Dayton Bombers. He has also played in the AHL with both Rochester and Lake Erie. Since the 2009-10 season, Jarret made Allen, Texas his home where in 238 games he scored 74 goals and 88 assists for 162 points. Prior to turning professional in 2006, Lukin played junior hockey for five seasons in the Western Hockey League with Kamloops & Medicine Hat and two years of college hockey at the University of Calgary.
IceMen Head Coach Dwight Mullins said of Lukin, "Jarret is a relentless worker on the ice. He can play in any situation. He was a captain for me in Allen and is a player that I can trust to help lead Evansville and contribute to our success."
And a reminder that the IceMen have announced the dates for their Inaugural Free Agent Camp to be held at Swonder Ice Arena, located at 209 N Boeke Road in Evansville, IN. The camp will run on Friday September 19th through Sunday September 21st . Players will participate in three scrimmages during their time in Evansville with top players being guaranteed a spot on the 2014-2015 Season Training Camp Roster.
Players can find a registration form at www.evansvilleicemen.com and pre-register for the event. Cost is $250, paid in advance, includes a two-night hotel stay at the Comfort Inn East, lunch and jersey and socks will be provided. Players must provide their own equipment, with helmets having a shield and must carry their own USA Hockey Insurance.
