
Esks Sign Larry Birdine

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos have signed import defensive end Larry Birdine to a practice roster agreement, the club announced today.
Birdine originally signed on April 29, 2010 but was released at the end of the 2010 training camp. The Oklahoma native has been on the practice squads of several NFL Team since 2007; Green Bay Packers (2007), Tennessee Titans (2007, 2009), Denver Broncos (2007) and the San Francisco 49ers (2008.) Larry attended the University of Oklahoma and ended his collegiate career with 147 tackles, 24 tackles for losses and eight sacks.
The club also announced today that they have moved import DB Roderick Williams and non-import LS Neil Puffer to the active roster and non-import S Corbin Sharun to the practice roster. Import LB Mark Restelli has been moved to the nine-game injured list after sustaining a left knee injury in the Sunday, July 11th game vs. Montreal.
