Energy Set to Battle Soldiers

Edmonton, AB. (April 27, 2012) - The 15-man roster has been set and the Edmonton Energy are now on their way to Orlando to take on the Venom, April 27-28, 2012. The team, led by head coach Dave Youngs, will open up their 2012 campaign against an Orlando squad full of southern talent and a developing program similar to what we are producing in the Edmonton community.

The 2012 roster is highlighted by returning guard Steve Sir, 4-time IBL All-star Lee Scruggs, and University of Saskatchewan standout and 2011 IBL All-Star Troy Gottselig.

New to the team this year, locals Danny Boticki, Jesse Reimink, recent University of Alberta grad Daniel Ferguson, and former University of Calgary Dino Robbie Sihota among other top talents from across North America.

The Edmonton Energy will play their first games at their new home, the Saville Community Sports Centre, on May 4-5, 2012. The Jersey G-Force will battle the Energy in their Home Opener weekend. Friday and Saturday's games are both 7:30pm start times.
