
Energy Outlast Legends in Double-Overtime

FRISCO, TX, - The Texas Legends (15-13) came back from a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force double-overtime but fell 107-113 to the Iowa Energy Wednesday night.
Texas' Jamil Wilson got off to a strong start hitting 11 of his 17 points in the first quarter as the Legends grabbed a one-point advantage. Iowa's Andrew Harrison answered with 10 in the second and the Energy finished the half with a 7-2 run to carry a 61-50 lead into the locker room. The third quarter saw Iowa's largest lead of the night as they extended to a 14-point deficit, but the Legends smothered Iowa in the fourth allowing only 16 points from the visitors and tying up the game at 103-all. Both teams went cold in overtime as the Legends shot 1-of-8 and Iowa 2-of-6 but the Energy gained six points from the free throw line to take the double-overtime victory.
Tu Holloway led the Legends with 31 points, 4 assists. Wilson and Brandon Ashley posted 17 apiece and grabbed 12 and 10 boards respectively for the team's only double-doubles.
Harrison powered the Energy with 33 points, 7 assists while Jarell Martin (22 points, 13 rebounds), Alex Stepheson (14 points, 10 rebounds), and Zach Andrews (10 points, 13 rebounds) each added double-doubles.
The Legends will return to the court Friday night hosting the Raptors 905 at 7pm.
