OKC Energy FC News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY - OKC Energy FC has re-signed defender Peabo Doue for the 2015 season, General Manager Jason Hawkins announced Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"We're very glad to have Peabo back," said Energy FC Head Coach Jimmy Nielsen. "Last season he proved he could play at this level, and we're excited to see how he develops. He's a great guy to have around on and off the field."
Doue started 23 matches for Energy FC this past season and played 1,920 minutes. Doue, a midfielder, made the move to defense and thrived on the back line this past season. He earned USL PRO team of the week honors on June 3. Doue scored his only goal of the season on April 7 against LA Galaxy II. He had an assist in the team's first match on April 5 against the Orange County Blues.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to be back," Doue said. "This organization has become family to me. Thanks to fans for their incredible support this past season, and I look forward to helping bring a championship to Oklahoma City."
