End of Year Awards Schedule Announced
April 21, 2022 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) News Release
The regular season of the Major Arena Soccer League has come to a close and playoffs are well underway. As the excitement of crowning a new league champion grows ever closer it is time to award some other deserving individuals.
Thursday, April 21 statistical award winners will be recognized for their achievements.
On Friday, April 22 the MASL Elite Six will be debuted. The Elite Six is a top-tier line-up selected by teams and media. An honorary MASL Second Team will also be announced.
After the conclusion of the semifinals round the top three candidates for the following awards will be released via the MASL website and social media. Winners of these coveted awards will be announced at a press conference in coordination with Game Two of the Championship series.
Most Valuable Player
Defender of the Year
Goalkeeper of the Year
Newcomer of the Year
Coach of the Year
The Joseph Cairel Award, named after the late Ontario Fury and Tacoma Stars player is given to the player deemed most passionate and inspirational in the League, traits embodied by Cairel. This award will be announced the week following the conclusion of the finals.
