Albany, NY: The Albany Empire announced today that the team will be bringing in OL/DL Coach Michael Custer, for the 2023 National Arena League season. Custer has an extensive history of coaching in arena football. Most recently, Coach Custer was with the Massachusetts Pirates of the IFL for the 2022 season coaching their OL/DL. Before his time in Massachusetts, Custer spent time with the IFL's Iowa Barnstormers from 2017-2018 and the IFL's Cedar Rapids Titans from 2013-2016.

The Albany Empire was founded in 2018 and have won titles in the Arena Football League (AFL) in 2019 as well as the National Arena League (NAL) in 2021 and 2022.
