Spokane Empire News Release
SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Empire has activated kicker Pat Clarke from the injured reserve list to their 2016 IFL roster.
Clarke (K, 6-3, 210, Buffalo) joins the Empire's regular season active roster for his first season as a member of the IFL. Pat was originally signed before the start of the season but suffered an injury that required the Empire to move him to their injured reserve list. With the recent change in the league's injured reserve policy allowing teams to active one player back to their active roster during the season, Coach Shackleford has exercised that option to bring Clark to Spokane in Week 15.
During his time away from Spokane, Clarke played in one game with the Arena Football League's Philadelphia Soul and converted on 7-of-10 point after attempts.
Clarke spent the 2015 season with the PIFL's Lehigh Valley Steelhawks where he converted on 88 percent of his extra point attempts. He was flawless on his field goal attempts within thirty yards and converted on a long of 46-yards during the season.
Before beginning his professional career, Clarke played his collegiate football at Buffalo University. After taking over for the final three games during his freshman season, Clarke would go on to handle the team's placekicking and kickoff duties over the next three seasons. He finished his career converting on 65 percent of his field goals with a career-long of 51-yards. During his senior season, he converted on 93 percent of his point after attempts. Clarke played his prep career at Hargrave Military Academy and is originally from New Castle, Delaware.
Additional Transactions: The Empire released Brady Beeson (K, 6-0, 200, St. Thomas).
