
Ellis Joins BayBears, Miley on DL

Prior to tonight's contest between the BayBears and Mississippi Braves at Hank Aaron Stadium, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the BayBears have made the following roster moves. LHP Wade Miley has been placed on the 7-Day disabled list with a sore left shoulder. Miley left the third inning of his first start against the Mudcats with the injury. He had a 1.98 ERA for the BayBears in 2010. To replace Miley on the roster, right-hander reliever Josh
Ellis has been called to the BayBears from Triple-A Reno. Ellis has been very successful for the BayBears in each of the last two seasons with a 1.94 ERA in 2009 and a 2.97 mark in 2010. Right-hander Bryan Henry will start in Miley's place on Thursday night against the Braves. The BayBears currently have 24 active players on their roster with 1 on the disabled list.
