El Paso Locomotive FC News Release
EL PASO, Texas - El Paso Locomotive Youth Soccer Club announced GECU as a new presenting partner, Wednesday evening. GECU joins the growing list of local partnerships that will support the Locomotive organization from the First Team to the Youth Soccer Club.
"We are excited to continue working with another one of our original corporate partners," said Locomotive General Manager, Business Operations Andrew Forrest. "GECU shares the same vision of success we have for soccer in the Borderland. Extending their support from our First Team to our Youth Soccer team shows their continued commitment to El Paso and its community."
"GECU is delighted to broaden our support for the El Paso Locomotive FC by supporting this new youth initiative with financial education, engagement and more. As the official credit union of El Paso Locomotive FC, our support of the soccer club will open the door for youth to gain financial skills in addition to all of the other benefits that come with being part of a team, including staying active, supporting your community, learning about teamwork, and building confidence," said Crystal Long, President and CEO of GECU.
Building on the existing partnership established ahead of El Paso Locomotive's 2019 inaugural season, GECU will expand on its support of El Paso Locomotive in championing local soccer and building opportunities for youth across the Borderplex. As a 2021 presenting partner for El Paso Locomotive Youth Soccer, GECU's logo will be placed on the back of all Youth Soccer Club jerseys.
