Edmonton's Rubisch & Bold Among All-Pro Selections

Edmonton, AB----Rush Defenseman Kyle Rubisch and goaltender Aaron Bold of the Edmonton Rush were among 13 players named to the National Lacrosse League's 2012 All-Pro teams on Thursday. Rubisch and Bold are looking to add "2012 NLL Champions" to their resume.

The Edmonton Rush will play the Rochester Knighthawks in the NLL Championship Game, presented by Reebok Lacrosse, 7:30 p.m. Saturday night from the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, N.Y., in a game that will be televised live on CBS Sports Network.

Rubisch was a First Team pick after being voted the NLL's Defensive Player of the Year. He capped his second season with a league-high 43 forced turnovers in 16 games for the West Division-champion Rush.

Rubisch also was first on the club and sixth in the league with 151 loose balls, and set career highs with four goals and six assists for 10 points.

Bold, a Second-Team pick - was third overall in the league with a 10.47 goals-against average. He and Rubsich were key players in a Rush defense that held opponents to 175 goals during the regular season, the second-lowest total in the league.

Besides Rubisch, the remainder of the All-Pro First Team selections are forwards John Grant Jr. of the Colorado Mammoth, Garrett Billings of the Toronto Rock and Dan Dawson of the Philadelphia Wings, transition player Andrew Suitor of the Minnesota Swarm and goaltender Mike Poulin of the Calgary Roughnecks.

The awards are voted on by the league's board of governors, general managers and head coaches.

Shaw Cable will be featuring the National Lacrosse League Championship presented by Reebok Lacrosse on PPV (free to customers). They will only be featuring the event in Alberta per content rights holder allowances. They will also only be featuring it in HD on Channell 303.

The game will be broadcasted on the CBS Sports Network. CBS Sports Network is available in Canada on Rogers, Cogeco, Bell Express Vue (HD channel 1432, SD channel 413), Eastlink, Sasktel & BellAliant TV.. The game will also be available on the www.nll.com Network.

In addition to television Rush Fans can listen to the NLL Championship presented by Reebok Lacrosse on The Team 1260 with host Jason Gregor.

Rush fans can watch the game at KRUSH Lounge. The Rush have partnered with KRUSH Lounge (16648 109 Avenue, beside the Mayfield Inn & Trade Centre) to broadcast the game. Hosted by the Edmonton Crush Dance Team, Krush Lounge will have the game up on their new HD 120' projection style screen along with an additional 10 HD TV's throughout the lounge. There will be Rush Hour food and beverage specials with promo items up for grabs all night. This is an 18+ event. Seating is limited, so please get there early. Doors open at 4:00 p.m.
