Edmonton Capitals Unveil Pre-Season Schedule

Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Capitals baseball club is pleased to announce its pre-season exhibition schedule for the 2009 season. The first ever Edmonton Capitals exhibition game will be May 15th against the Calgary Vipers in Fort McMurray. The two teams will hook up again the following day with proceeds from that series staying with the Fort McMurray Minor Baseball Association.
"We're really excited to debut Edmonton Capitals baseball in Fort McMurray. It's important to bring this new professional sports product to to that part of Oil Country where fans have been so loyal to our organization for years." said Edmonton Oilers President & CEO and Capitals Governor Patrick LaForge.
The Golden Baseball League's Battle of Alberta will heat up again with a home and home series between the two clubs on Monday May 18th in Calgary with the return matchup Tuesday May 19th in Edmonton.
Training camp in Edmonton will start on May 11th. Opening day is set for May 21, 2009 against the Victoria Seals.
