St. John's Edge News Release


Windsor, ON - The St. John's Edge (18-10) stormed back from a 15-point deficit to derail the Windsor Express (13-14) 112-108 Monday afternoon at the WFCU Centre. The Edge, who trailed by 15 points to start the second half, put on an offensive showcase in the third quarter by draining 43 points to help secure the win.

Player Performance

St. John's Edge:

Carl English once again led the Edge with 26 points, 3 assists and 1 rebound. Alex Johnson and Charles Hinkle both finished the game with a double-double with Johnson finishing with 17 points, 10 assists and 5 rebounds while Hinkle recorded 23 points, 11 rebounds and 1 assist. In just his third game with the Edge, Newcomer Ryan Reid put together another strong effort by adding 16 points and 7 rebounds.

Windsor Express:

The Express were led by Logan Stutz and his 26 points and 9 rebounds. Maurice Jones chipped in with 19 points, 2 rebounds and 8 assists. Chard Frazier went an impressive 11-12 from the free throw line for the Express in the loss.

Inside the Numbers:

St. John's went 10-for-23 (38.7 percent) from three-point territory while hitting 20-for-24 (83.3 percent) of their free throws.

The Express went 8-for-24 (33.3 percent) from three-point territory while getting 58 points from the paint.
