Edge Sign Karrington Ward

November 19, 2019 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada) - St. John's Edge News Release

St. John's, NL- Karrington Ward, a 6'7 205lb wing from Lockport, Illinois has signed a 2019-2020 NBLC Player Contract with the St. John's Edge. Ward a 2015 graduate at Eastern Michigan University will begin his 5th season as a pro after stops in Luxemburg and the NBA G-League.

Ward joins the Edge after spending the first two months of this season in Luxemburg, where he averaged 19.8ppg, 10.2rpg while shooting 46.1% from the field and 27.1% from 3. Prior to his time in Luxemburg, Ward spent the better parts of four seasons in the NBA G-League, playing for the Bakersfield Jam, Maine Red Claws, Oklahoma City Blue and the last two seasons with the Windy City Bulls.

Head Coach Steve Marcus on the signing of Ward; "Karrington and I have a relationship that dates back to our time with the Maine Red Claws. He is an unbelievable person that will make an immediate impact to our organization on and off the court. He immediately becomes one of, if not, the best athlete in our league."

Ward on signing with the Edge; "I am happy to be apart of this organization, seeing that they made it to the finals last year, I am hoping to be the addition that can push us to a title and help this team in many different ways."
