
Edge Sign Ahmad Thomas for 2019-2020 Season

St. John's, NL- Ahmad Thomas, a 6'3 215lb Guard/Forward from Danville, Virginia has signed a 2019-2020 NBLC player contract with the St. John's Edge. Thomas, a second year pro will join the Edge after playing last season in Germany.
Thomas, a 2018 graduate of UNC Ashville has his name all over the record books at Ashville and in the Big South Conference. Thomas, was named Big South Conference Defensive Player of the Year twice, in 2017 and 2018. He also became the first player in conference history to finish his career with over 1,500 points (1,626), 700 rebounds (705), 250 steals (251) and 250 assists (256). His 251 steals are the most in UNC Ashville history.
Head Coach Steve Marcus on the signing of Ahmad Thomas: "Ahmad had one of the best college careers in NCAA history at UNC Ashville. He is a Swiss army knife that can guard every position on the floor, he is an absolute junkyard dog that loves doing all the little things to help his team win. He is the type of player every organization needs."
