Edge Gather Two Weekly League Awards

The leading rusher and kick returner for the Bloomington Edge have received two of the weekly awards from the Champions Professional Indoor Football League.

Andre Raymond is the CPIFL Offensive Player of the Week after running for 80 yards with two touchdowns and 6.7 yards per carry in Saturday's 44-39 win at Oklahoma. Raymond also caught two passes for 11 yards with one additional touchdown. Raymond's eight rushing touchdowns is second in the CPIFL.

LaVaughn Macon is the CPIFL Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time after returning six kickoffs for 100 yards in Saturday's win, plus returning a blocked field goal 28 yards for a score. Macon is the CPIFL leader in all-purpose yards with 929.

The Edge begin the second half of the CPIFL season by taking a 3-3 record west to face the 1-4 Kansas Koyotes on Saturday night. Kickoff at the Kansas Expocentre in Topeka is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and the game can be heard on WJBC.com at 6:45. The Edge then visit Lincoln the following Saturday before hosting their final two home regular season games on May 10 and May 17.
