The Bloomington Edge carry the Champions Professional Indoor Football League's top passing offense into Tulsa this weekend as they search for the season's first victory in a Saturday contest against the Oklahoma Defenders.

The Edge (0-4) have lost their last three games by a total of just 14 points and are coming off a 57-47 home loss to the Dodge City Law last Saturday. The Edge passing offense averages a league-best 188.2 yards per game led by quarterback Charles Dowdell, who leads the CPIFL in total offense with 219.8 yards per game. Bloomington's Marcus Lewis is the league's top receiver with 95.2 yards per game and seven catches per contest. Edge return specialist LaVaughn Macon is the league's top all-purpose gainer with 693 yards at a clip of 173.2 yards per game.

However, the Edge defense is last in the league, and they'll be called upon to stop the Defenders offense that leads the league with 37 touchdowns and is second in overall average scoring with 55.6 points per game. Oklahoma is tied with Dodge City and Omaha for fourth place with a 3-2 record and is coming off a 73-61 win at Lincoln last Saturday. Quarterback Brady May is 43-of-90 through the air with five interceptions and 13 touchdowns for 576 yards. Patrick Jones is the Defenders' top receiver with 356 yards on 24 catches and six touchdowns. Kingjack Washington is the leading Defenders rusher with 225 yards and four touchdowns.

Saturday's game at the Cox Business Center in Tulsa kicks off at 7:05 p.m. and can been seen via subscription video through America One Sports with the link on www.cpifl.org on the Gameday page, which includes broadcast links and live stats.
