ECHL, Teamwork Online to Host Job Fair
May 3, 2011 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release
PRINCETON, N.J. â" The ECHL and TeamWork Online have joined forces to once again host the ECHL Job Fair on Wednesday, June 22 in Las Vegas.
ECHL Team Presidents and Sales Directors will be interviewing and selecting candidates for multiple positions including Ticket Sales, Sponsorship Sales and Marketing Management.
"The ECHL Career Fair is a one of a kind event for people interested in working in the sports industry," said TeamWork Online Vice President and General Manager Steve Kessen. "Pre-selected job seekers have an opportunity to interview with multiple teams all in one place at the same time. This is truly one of the best ways to begin a career in the sports business."
Potential candidates must register for the Job Fair online at echl.teamworkonline.com. Upon review of the resumes, selected candidates will receive a formal invitation to attend and participate in the ECHL Job Fair.
Last year, over 25 candidates from across the country and Canada, along with 12 ECHL teams, attended the Job Fair, with multiple candidates receiving job offers on the spot.
"The job fair allowed us an opportunity to meet many motivated potential salespeople and we wound up hiring three," said Elmira Jackals General Manager Robbie S. Nichols. "Now an annual occurrence, it is a terrific event that allows people who are interested in working in professional hockey to get a chance to meet face-to-face with representatives from ECHL teams. It is always exciting to get to meet young and hungry individuals who are eager for an opportunity. The Jackals are looking forward to this year's job fair and anticipate welcoming at least two more salespeople to our family."
