
ECHL Announes Fine, Suspension

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Wednesday announced that Ontario's Derek Couture has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Playoff Game #N-6, Ontario at Allen, on May 26.
Couture was assessed a match penalty under Rule #21.1 at 19:53 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Couture will miss Ontario's playoff game at Allen tonight (May 27).
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
