ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Saturday announced the following fines and suspensions resulting from ECHL Playoff Game #H-4, Greenville at Wheeling, on April 22.

Greenville's T.J. Reynolds has been suspended for two games and has been fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions following the conclusion of the game. Reynolds will miss Game #5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at Wheeling on April 23 and Game #6 vs. Wheeling, if necessary, on April 26. If Game #6 is not necessary, the remainder of the suspension will carry over to the 2011-12 regular season.

Greenville's Brendan Connolly has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #21.1 - Match Penalty. Connolly was assessed a match penalty for spearing following the conclusion of the game. Connolly will also miss Game #5 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Final at Wheeling on April 23.

Wheeling's Doug Rogers has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions following the conclusion of the game. Rogers will miss Game #5 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Final vs. Greenville on April 23.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Additionally, the Greenville and Wheeling organizations have each been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of their players' actions at the conclusion of the game.
