San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Earthquakes Homegrown players Cade Cowell and Niko Tsakiris have been called to the United States U20 National Team for a training camp that will run from Oct. 25 - Nov. 6 at the Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco, Texas. The training camp will take place concurrently with a fitness camp for the senior U.S. Men's National Team ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Cowell, Tsakiris Called to United States U20 National Team Training Camp
San Jose Earthquakes Homegrown players Cade Cowell and Niko Tsakiris are among 16 players called to the United States U20 National Team for a training camp that will run from Oct. 25 - Nov. 6 at the Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco, Texas. Tsakiris, born in June 2005, is the youngest player included at the camp and is one of just three players born in 2005. San Jose is one of four MLS clubs to send two players, along with Chicago Fire FC, the LA Galaxy, and the New York Red Bulls.

Nov. 5, 2019 - Earthquakes sign Homegrown Defender Casey Walls
The San Jose Earthquakes signed defender Casey Walls to a Homegrown Player contract on Nov. 5, 2019. Walls, 19, made his Earthquakes debut on July 20, 2022 in an international friendly against Spain's Celta de Vigo.
ACADEMY UPDATE
Last weekend, the Quakes Academy Boys' U15s and U17s faced Seattle Sounders FC and the Portland Timbers on the road. The U15s (L 4-0) and U17s (W 2-0) faced Seattle on Saturday. The following day, the U15s (T 1-1) and U17s (W 1-0) took on Portland. The games saw the U17s extend their undefeated streak to six across all competitions this season (6-0-0).
All four Quakes Academy Boys' teams (U13s, U14s, U15s, and U17s) will now host their opponents this weekend. The U13s and U14s will resume action when they face Ballistic United on Saturday, Nov. 5, before taking on ALBION SC Merced on Sunday, Nov. 6. Additionally, the U15s and U17s will host Seattle Sounders FC in the League (Pro Player Pathway West) Division on Saturday, Nov. 5.
