SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (3-3-0; 9 pts.) will host Sporting Kansas City (3-2-1; 10 pts.) to conclude a three-match homestand tonight at PayPal Park, presented by Coca-Cola. The match kicks off at 7:00 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Bay Area, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.

The Quakes, who will have home-field advantage for the last time until their California Clasico clash against the LA Galaxy at PayPal Park on June 26, have fared well historically when hosting Sporting KC. San Jose currently holds a 17-6-7 all-time home record vs. Kansas City, outscoring them 43-27, and have won six of their last 10 regular-season meetings (6-2-2) at home.

Sporting Kansas City defeated Vancouver Whitecaps FC 3-0 at Children's Mercy Park last Sunday, and now sit in third place in the Western Conference. Tonight's showdown is also expected to reunite Sporting KC's Alan Pulido with head coach Matias Almeyda, Oswaldo Alanis, Carlos Fierro and Eduardo 'Chofis' Lopez. All four players previously played under Almeyda with Mexico's Chivas de Guadalajara, where they won numerous championships, including the 2017 Liga MX title and 2018 Concacaf Champions League.

The Earthquakes will also celebrate the Santa Clara University women's soccer team during halftime after the Broncos won the 2020 NCAA National Championship on Monday.
