ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign (35-13-3-2), defending Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, lost their fourth straight game to the Colorado Eagles (25-24-1-2) before 7,349 on Sunday afternoon at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

The Eagles opened the scoring with three power-play goals in a row. A five minute major for boarding, called against Justin Pender, gave way to Colorado's conversion of two of the three power-play tallies.

Michael Forney scored the first goal on Dustin Carlson through traffic. The Reign were down a man for a hooking penalty on Matt Clune. On Pender's major penalty, the Eagles' Joey Sides sent a pass through Everett Sheen's legs to Kevin Ulanski who snapped it in from the slot. Sides got on the board again scoring the Eagles third straight goal off a deflection that went five hole on Carlson.

Brodie Sheahan scored to get Ontario on the board toward the end of the first period. A slapshot from the blue line from Cameron Burt went off the pads of Kyle Jones but was retrieved by Sheahan. From just right of the goal, Sheahan's shot found the back of the Eagles net. Mario Lamoureux earned the secondary assist.

To start off the second period Kyle Kraemer and Lamoureux teamed up to get the Reign within one goal of the Eagles. Lamoureux sent a backhand pass to Kraemer in the slot who fired and picked up his own rebound to light the lamp.

Ulanski scored his second goal of the game at the 8:15 mark of the second period. Sides earned his third point of the contest and Scott Haddon earned his first with the other assist.

The Reign's third and final goal came at 5:57 of the final stanza from Kraemer. Derek Couture found the forward in front of the Eagles net and Kraemer sent a backhand up and over Jones' pads.

Colorado went on to score two more goals to double their lead to 6-3. A.J. Hau beat Carlson on his blocker side from a wide angle at the goal line. The final Eagles goal was an empty-netter with less than a minute remaining on the clock.
