Eagles Host Chicago Fire Reserves at UNCC

Charlotte, NC - The Charlotte Eagles will face the Chicago Fire Reserves for the third time in two years this Friday, April 25th. The Eagles will get a small change of scenery when they make the short trip to UNC Charlotte and play at Transamerica Field.

The Eagles and Fire last met in the 2013 USL PRO regular season and the match resulted in a 2-1 victory for the Eagles. The Eagles scored two second half goals with Ben Newnam tallying the game winner in the 75th minute. The goal for the Fire Reserves came from Quincy Amarikwa and was assisted by Wells Thompson. Thompson was acquired by the Eagles in the offseason and may be returning to the squad after the birth of his son on Friday, April 11th.

Charlotte also won in Chicago last June on goals from Chrisitan Meza and Shaun Francis.

The Eagles also recently acquired forward Giuseppe Gentile on loan from the Chicago Fire. Gentile made his debut for the Eagles in their match against the Richmond Kickers. Gentile will return to a familiar scene when the Eagles travel to Transamerica as he played collegiately for UNC Charlotte before making his pro debut.

Charlotte's last game against the Richmond Kickers on April 12th. Second half goals by Juan Guzman and Jorge Herrera gave the Eagles a 2-1 victory, both goals were assisted by Drew Yates. The goal for Richmond came by Michael Seaton assisted by Christiano Francois.

Tickets are available at www.charlotteeagles.com, if purchased ahead of Friday they will be $7.50 for Adults and $5.50 for Children. If you purchase tickets the day of the game the prices will be $10 for Adults and $7 for children.
