They say the third time is a charm. The Charlotte Eagles and the Wilmington Hammerheads are having a hard time playing in Charlotte.
After last night's cancellation due to rain, the two teams will try a third time tomorrow, Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 7:00 PM EST at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, SC.
"The gracious invitation by the city of Rock Hill to play at Manchester Meadows, with such late notice is greatly appreciated by the Eagles organization", stated Eagles GM, Tom Engstrom. This game will mark the first Sunday game in Eagles' history. We did everything in our power to avoid it, but as league play wraps up this weekend the league needs us to get this game played in order to plan for post season next weekend."
The Eagles are in Wilmington tonight to play the first of two games against the Hammerheads. The Eagles play for a spot in the play-offs. After last night Richmond claimed one of the three playoff spots.
The Eagles can stay alive through a couple of scenarios. A sweep could give us home advantage in the fist round of playoffs.
