Charlotte Eagles News Release

Charlotte, NC -- With so much turnover from last year's Eagles to this year's Eagles, we thought we would give you a closer look at some of the newest team members. Today, we are taking a look at a trio of Caribbean additions to the 2013 Charlotte Eagles roster.

Rohan Reid, 32, is a Jamaican midfielder and defender who joins the team after starting the season with Arnett Gardens of the Jamaican National Premier League and is also a member of both The Reggae Boyz, the Jamaican National team, and the National Beach Football Team. Reid has made seven appearances for the national team but has yet to register a goal, having played mostly on defense for Jamaica. He would make his Eagles debut on Saturday coming on late as a substitute in the Eagles 2-0 victory over Antigua Barracuda. Reid will also provide an aerial asset for the Eagles as he measures 6'4".

Mitchily Waul, 27, is a Jamaican forward who comes to the Eagles after playing professionally in Jamaica for three separate clubs. Waul, like Reid, has some National team experience with The Reggae Boyz, appearing in three contests and registering his first international goal against Cuba in 2012. Waul last played for the National team against Costa Rica in March 2012. He is still waiting to make his Charlotte debut after suffering an injury in training.

Stefan Smith, 23, is an Antiguan forward who will join the Eagles after two seasons with Antigua Barracuda FC in USL PRO. Smith, who played 35 games for the Barracuda, registered nine goals for his club. He has also played in 14 games for his National team and is still seeking his first international goal. Smith made his Eagles debut this past Saturday against his former club, coming on late as a substitute in the 2-0 victory.

The Eagles will take on the Rochester Rhinos on Friday, April 19th at Queens Sports Complex and tickets are still available!
