Dynamo to Host Year-End Celebration at the George R. Brown Convention Center on November 15

HOUSTON, TX (Thursday, October 20, 2011) - The Houston Dynamo announced today that the club will host a year-end celebration on Tuesday, November 15, at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The event, Dynamo Celebration 2011: A Night to Remember, will honor the club's achievements over the past year, as well as honor organizational, team, and individual achievements, both on and off the field.

Doors to the event will open at 7:30 p.m., allowing fans the opportunity to mingle with their favorite Dynamo players prior to the show. The ceremony will begin at 8 p.m., followed by a post-event party at 9:30 p.m.

Awards that will be presented at the event include team MVP, Defender of the Year, and MLS W.O.R.K.S. Humanitarian of the Year, among others. In addition, fans will have the opportunity to look back at great moments from 2011, including the Dynamo Stadium groundbreaking and the Dynamo's return to the MLS Cup Playoffs.

A limited number of tickets will be made available to the public at a rate of $55 for Houston Dynamo season ticket holders and $65 to all others. Tickets include complimentary beer, wine, and hors d'oeuvres and can be purchased by visiting HoustonDynamo.com/Celebrate2011 or by calling (713) 276-7574.

Partial proceeds from Dynamo Celebration 2011 will benefit Dynamo Charities. Sponsors of the event include BMC Software, FabEnCo, H-E-B, Firesafe, Lloyd's Register, Technical and Scientific Application, Shell, CenterPoint Energy, and Aramark.

The Dynamo will close out the regular season at home on Sunday, October 23, against the first-place LA Galaxy. Although the Dynamo have already clinched a berth in the 2011 MLS Cup Playoffs, exact playoff seeding will not be decided until the conclusion of Sunday's match.
