The Denver Dynamite of the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro) signed their third former Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) veteran, Garth Archibald, for the 2008-09 season. Per club policy, terms of the deal will not be disclosed.
Archibald made his professional debut last year for the California Cougars, who changed their name to the Stockton Cougars after leaving the now defunct MISL for the PASL-Pro; scoring his first goal and assist against the MISL Champion Baltimore Blast..
Garth, another member of the US National Arena Soccer Team (USNAST) player pool, earned his first two caps in Montreal during the National Teams debut in FIFRA's Circuito Mondial 2008 back in July. During the tournament, he netted two goals, which placed him second in US scoring. .
Before getting the call up to the Cougars and the National Team, Garth played with the Stockton Pumas, the official development team of the Stockton Cougars, after attending the University New Mexico and graduating from Chico State.
"Garth has already shown his quality and ability to benefit our team in his brief time here." President Peter Randall concluded, "He has demonstrated his ability to create and finish scoring chances through his experiences in the PASL-Premier, in the MISL, and most recently for the national team. Season tickets are available online now at www.denverdynamitesoccer.com with packages on sale and ranging from $50-$150. Single game tickets are available for $10, $15, and $20.
PASL-Pro is a new professional arena soccer league whose inaugural season kicks off October 25, 2008. The Dynamite open up their campaign on November, 1st in Calgary then return home to host Detroit Waza on November 15th at the Denver Sports Center. The PASL-Pro consists of 8 US teams, the CMISL, and LMFR. The San Diego Sockers have been added for the 2009/10 season. PASL Premier just completed its 10th season as the nation's top amateur arena soccer league. PASL-Pro and PASL-Premier are members of the Federacion Internacional de Futbol Rapido (FIFRA).
