Amarillo Venom News Release
Amarillo, TX- At a press conference held today at Logan's Roadhouse, the Amarillo Dusters officially announced their acceptance into af2 for the 2005 season.
"This is a tremendous step for this team, the organization, and the city of Amarillo," said Dusters Director of Football Operations Warren McCarty.
"The af2 is a perfect fit for Amarillo. We view the af2 as an entity that has quickly developed into a recognized and respected developmental football league, which is why we are thrilled to be accepted into the family. We're taking professional football in Amarillo to the next level. We're so excited about how this community backed us on our way to winning a championship last season. Now, we're facing a new challenge. This is a bigger spotlight, and there is more at stake. As a staff, as a team, and as a city, we all have to step up together and continue to build this into a winning program on and off the field."
