Louisville Fire News Release

Louisville Fire owner/operator Will Wolford announced today that the Fire has hired Lexington Catholic High School President Bill Glaser as the team's new General Manager. Glaser will begin serving as General Manager the last week of November.

"I'm very excited and honored to announce the return of Bill Glaser to the city of Louisville as General Manager of The Louisville Fire Arena Football Team. I had no idea a search for a GM would end in this fashion, but I can't help but feel lucky to be associated with a man of Bill's experience and credentials. If we make a move to the Arena Football League, we will be in good hands," commented Wolford.

Glaser's duties will include over seeing the day-to-day business operations of the team and work closely with the coaching staff in football operations. Glaser previously served as the head coach of St. Xavier High School for two years, 1974-1975, and went undefeated both years and won the state football championship with the Tigers. Glaser continued coaching as an assistant coach at the University of Kentucky from 1977-1996.

"I'm very excited about coming back to Louisville and being back in football. I have spent a great deal of my life in football," said Glaser. "I hope I can bring something to the organization to keep things moving in the right direction."

The Fire will kick off their 2005 season in April and season tickets are on sale starting at only $49. For more information on 2005 season tickets call (502) 368-0009.
