Amarillo, TX 4/7/09 - A member of the "Duster Darlins" dance team has been named as a finalist for the Aaron's af2 Dream Team, the Dusters announced this week.

Out of the hundreds of dancers in the arenafootball2 league, Ali Jones was named as one of 24 finalists for the all-star squad. The Aaron's af2 Dream Team will be made up of 12 dancers overall, with fans having an opportunity to vote for their favorite dancer beginning in May.

Though a national online promotion-"Vote for your Favorite Aaron's af2 Dancer"-fans will cast votes for dancers from many of the af2's member clubs. The top 12 dancers with the most fan votes will represent this year's 2009 Aaron's af2 Dream Team at ArenaCup10 in August.

"Ali is one of the hardest workers on the dance team," said Dusters General Manager Joe Morgado. "She deserves to be nominated for this honor, and we are privileged to have her as a part of our organization."

The Duster Darlins perform at all Amarillo Dusters home games, and have become a staple in the Texas Panhandle. When the dancers are not cheering on the Dusters, the team is meeting and greeting with fans at area events and making various appearances throughout the Amarillo region. The Duster Darlins are coordinated by Lacy Ratliffe.

Meanwhile, the Dusters will be back in action next Saturday at Corpus Christi (0-2). The game, which starts at 7:05 PM, can be heard on 107.1 KPUR-FM in the Amarillo area, and watched via a free online videocast through af2TV (for more information, go to www.dustersfootball.com).

THE AMARILLO DUSTERS are a member of the arenafootball2 league. The team front office is now located at 901 S. Buchanan in downtown Amarillo. Season ticket packages for 2009 are available by calling (806) 350-PASS (7277), and start at just $96 a seat.
