Durham's Team Comeback Falls Shorts against the Champs 115 - 109

(Oshawa) Despite having three different players score 20 points, the Oshawa Power's final trip of the regular season to Budweiser Gardens to face the London Lightning result in a 115-109 loss. After a furious first quarter that saw several lead changes, the London Lightning took control of the game and went into the half up by 12, their lead eventually swelled to as much as 20 points late into the third quarter.

The fourth quarter was a much different story and the Power exploded by outscoring the Lightning 38-28 and the brought the game as close as six points however their comeback fell short as London was able to hold off the surging Power. Elvin Mims lead his team in scoring with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Adrian Moss and Rodney Bufford scored 17 points respectively.

Jaushay Rockett had a monstrous game for the Power dropping 25 points along with 18 rebounds, William "Bo" Harris and Nick Okorie each finished with twenty points on the night.

The Power will now head back home to the GM Centre to face the Halifax Rainmen on Wednesday January 16, 2013 with tip off set for 7:00 p.m.
