Dureau Rejoins Syracuse

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks, proud member club of the Western Hockey League, shared today that Winterhawks alternate captain Jaydon Dureau is returning to the Syracuse Crunch, American Hockey League affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Dureau recently completed his third WHL season and finished as the Winterhawks leading scorer with 31 points (10G-21A) in 24 games. The White City, Saskatchewan native scored points in 13 of his last 14 games during the abbreviated 2020-21 season, including seven consecutive multi-point performances.

Selected in the 5th round (147th overall) of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft by the reigning Stanley Cup Champions, Dureau made his AHL debut with the Crunch on February 27, 2021.

The Crunch's season concludes on Saturday, but Dureau will remain with the team on an amateur tryout (ATO) for additional practices.
